Police in Hull have arrested 24 people as part of an investigation into 'cuckooing' by drugs gangs.
The practice involves taking over the homes of vulnerable people - such as drug users, sex workers and people with mental health issues - and using them as a base for drug dealing and other crimes.
The arrests follow a series of raids on the Great Thornton Street estate in the city, which saw £20,000 in cash as well as substances including heroin, cocaine, amphetamine and cannabis seized.
Humberside Police say they are working to help identify and engage with vulnerable people and prevent them from becoming victims of cuckooing.
Anyone with information that may aid police investigating cuckooing should call 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
