Huddersfield Town players visit hospice ahead of big game

Members of the Huddersfield Town first team paid a visit to the Forget Me Not Children's Hospice ahead of their clash with Manchester United.

Captain Tommy Smith, Scott Malone, Dean Whitehead and Collin Quaner all made the trip along with former striker and club ambassador Andy Booth.

The players were given a guided tour of the complex as they were shown the services designed to be a home away from home for the patients.

It’s been a real eye-opener for myself and the other lads who came today. There is a lot more to life than football, when you visit these types of places and see some of the kids with their parents who are coping with this.

All credit to the hospice, they make it as comfortable and easy for these families as they possibly can and some of the facilities they have are nothing short of amazing.
