Mother calls for safety measures after one-year-old son falls in river

A mother from Lincoln, whose toddler son fell into the river and was saved by a dog walker, has praised the man responsible - but is also calling for increased safety measures along the stretch of water in the city centre.

Sarah Neill says the water that backs on to properties in the Fairfax Street area of Lincoln is too easily accessible to children.

Dylan, who was one at the time, was being cared for by his grandparents when it happened, and escaped through a garden gate that had been left open by another child. Kate Hemingway reports.
