Police have charged two people with murder after two teenagers died in separate fatal stabbings in Sheffield this week.
A 15-year-old boy was charged last night in relation tothe death of a 15-year-old who died after being stabbed in the chest in the Lowedges area of the city on Thursday.
The boy has been remanded into custody and is due to appear in court tomorrow.
Meanwhile 22-year-old Frank Mvila Kiongaze, of Morland Road, Gleadless, has been charged with the murder of 19-year-old Ryan Jowle.
Mr Jowle was stabbed in the chest during an attack on Tannery Close in the Woodhouse area of Sheffield on Tuesday. He died in hospital in the early hours of Wednesday.
Kiongaze, who was also charged with possesion of a bladed article, will appear at Sheffield Magistrates' Court tomorrow.
The stabbings have led South Yorkshire Police to take on increased stop and search powers in Sheffield which were extended into this morning.
A decision on whether they will continue to have the authority to search people without having a reasonable suspicion they are carrying weapons will be made later today.
