Multi award-winning show Beautiful: the Carole King Musical has come to Leeds Grand Theatre - but act quickly, as it'll soon be curtain up for the musical's first UK tour.
It charts the story of Carole who, at just 16, fought her way into the record business as a hit songwriter.
Her first song, Will You Love Me Tomorrow, topped the charts when she was just 17.
By the time she reached her twenties she was part of one of history’s most successful hit song-writing teams with husband Gerry Goffin and fellow writers and best friends, Cynthia Weil and Barry Mann. Together they wrote hits for the biggest acts in rock ‘n’ roll; from Aretha Franklin to The Monkees, The Drifters to The Shirelles.
But, it wasn’t until her personal life began to crack that she finally managed to find her true voice, becoming an artist in her own right.
Starring Bronte Barbe, who first made a name for herself in the talent show 'Over the Rainbow', the show runs until Saturday at the Grand, and the tour ends later this month.
