The family of an 11-year-old girl who is battling a rare brain tumour say they have seen positive results from specialist treatment in America.

Demi Knight, who is from Louth in Lincolnshire, was aged just nine when she was diagnosed with a medulloblastoma tumour in December 2015.

Initial treatment on the NHS proved successful but she was later told the cancer had returned and that doctors here could do nothing more to help her.

Demi's family refused to give up hope and launched a £200,000 fundraising drive for treatment in America.

Her mum Melissa says the treatment is working but that she now needs fortnightly trips to Poland for more of the same medicine from a doctor with links to the clinic in Texas.
