An earlier overturned car is causing congestion between the A172 and the A684. One lane is still closed
M1 Northbound - two lanes reopen
Two lanes have reopened on the M1 northbound in South Yorkshire between junctions 33 (Catcliffe) and 34 (Meadowhall) following a lorry fire. There is congestion back to junction 32 with the M18.

Driver injured
The driver of the Mazda, who is believed to be a local man, has been taken toDarlington Memorial Hospital. The extent of his injuries are unknown at this time but they are believed to be serious.

Serious accident
North Yorkshire Police are currently at the scene of a serious road traffic collision on the A684 between Bedale and Crakehall.
The collision involving a Ford Transit van and a Mazda car occurred at around 9.35am today.
Broken down car
Traffic slow on A57 Sheffield Road in both directions, near Anston, due to a broken down car. The car is in the M1-bound lane, but affecting both sides of the carriageway as traffic takes turn to pass the scene.

Gipton fire
Fire crews have just returned from a kitchen fire in a high rise flat in Gipton, Leeds. Two people suffered smoke inhalation at the flat on The Highways, York Road, in Killingbeck.
