The Olympic torch relay begins today at Land's End, but already a Doncaster student has tried out the facilities at the Olympic Stadium in London.
19-year old Jacob Clark from Bessacarr took part in a preparation event ahead of this summer's Games as part of the British Universities College of Sport.
The event was run like a mini Olympics, featuring athletics, basketball and other sports.
Jacob took part in the 1500 metre 4x4 relay representing Leeds University.
“My events took place on the Saturday night, it was a fantastic atmosphere with around 40,000 people in the crowd.
“This is a great time for sport and everyone in Doncaster is excited about seeing the Olympic torch pass through the borough on 26 June.”
