More than a hundred people across the Calendar region have been honoured by the Queen.
Queen's birthday list honours Yorkshire
The Queen's birthday honours have brought recognition to the achievements of many people across Yorkshire amongst them are:
MBE
Mrs Carole Eaton, 57 years old, from Sheffield, for services to Education.
Mr Norman Victor Elliott, 79 years old , from Brough, for services to the community in South Cave
Councillor David Anthony Horton, 70-years-old, from Copmanthorpe, for services to the community in York
Miss Joan Patricia Rycroft, 82-years-old, from Leeds, for services to Sport in Yorkshire.
Queen's birthday honours list for Lincolnshire 2012
The Queen's birthday honours have brought recognition to the achievements of many people across Lincolnshire amongst them are:
British Empire Medal:-
Mr David William Howard - 68 years old - has been recognised for Services to the Samaritans in Lincoln. He has worked as a volunteer for 36 years.
MBE:-
Mr Digby Richard Lidstone-Scott - 60 years old - for services to the pig industry. Mr Lidstone-Scott is the editor of Pig World Magazine and has been a champion of the UK pig industry for many years campaingning for its future.
