Thousands of women hit the ground running in Sheffield, raising cash to fight cancer. They were taking part in the annual Race For Life event and luckily, the weather was on their side. Adam Fowler was there.
Around five thousand women took part in the Cancer Research UK's Race For Life in Sheffield, one of the best attended races in the Calendar region. It was started by two year old Amber Whiston, from Gleadless who has recently finished chemotherapy.
After sounding the hooter, Amber then joined her mum, Lara Joyce, 29, to take part in their first ever Race for Life. They were part of a team - Amber's Army - made up of 10 close family and friends.
