A two year old boy who was fighting for his life after he was involved in an horrific hit-and-run accident has been allowed home but his sister is still critically ill in hospital.

Man released on bail

The 26-year-old man arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender in the hit and run case has been released on police bail.

Sabah, 10, remains in a critical but stable condition and her two year old brother Rayhan continues to improve.

Two more people have been arrested in connection with the hit and run crash in Hyde Park, Leeds at the weekend. A 36-year old-man has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and failing to stop and failing to report a collision.

A 39-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving. A 26-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. Ten year old Sabah remains in a critical but stable condition and her two year old brother Rayhan continues to improve.

Man arrested over Leeds hit and run

A 36-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a hit-and-run crash which left a two-year-old boy and his 10-year-old sister fighting for their lives. The man is being questioned by police after Raham Saleem and his sister Sabam were knocked down on Saturday.

He has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, failing to stop at the scene of an accident and failing to report an accident, West Yorkshire Police said. Officers say they have also recovered a car.
