Concern over CCTV in schools

34 schools in Yorkshire and the Humber are using CCTV cameras in toilets or changing rooms, figures have revealed.

Thousands of CCTV cameras in the region's schools

It has been revealed that there are more than two and a half thousand CCTV cameras inside schools across the Calendar region. Over two hundred of those are based in the changing rooms and bathrooms - that's a higher number here than anywhere else in the country.

Local councils argue its to safeguard the children, anti-surveillance campaigners say there's nothing to suggest it's having a positive impact. Adam Fowler reports.
