Hannah's hometown honour

Paralympic double gold medallist Hannah Cockroft became a Freewoman of the Borough of Calderdale at a ceremony in her home town of Halifax. Hundreds of people packed out the Piece Hall and gave a rapturous welcome to Calderdale's golden girl.

It was Hannah's second civic reception of the day - crowds had also gathered in Leeds earlier to pay tribute to the 20 year old's incredible achievement.
