Parents have started a petition to try and make the crossing area outside Monks Abbey Primary School in Lincoln safer.
A school crossing in Lincolnshire has been branded the most dangerous in the county. Lollipop man David Ellis has been hit by passing vehicles three times in the last five months. His colleague Barry Brannick who also works on the crossing has been hit twice.
Parents say the crossing area outside Monks Abbey Primary School in Lincoln is so dangerous that a child could soon be killed. They're now starting a petition to try and draw attention to the issue.
Lincolnshire Road Safety Partnership say much of the problem is down to inconsiderate drivers who are in a rush and ignore the patrols as they make their way to work.

I would like to urge all motorists to drive with exceptional care on this road. The school crossing patrol is there to help keep the children safe on their way to and from school. We are carrying out some further road safety measures including refreshing the lines on the road, possible repositioning of the flashing lights on the approach to the junction, and using more distinctive yellow backing boards for the signs, so they stand out more clearly to motorists.”
