Martin Vickers MP asks the Government what support they can give for the area which has just been hit by the closure of the Kimberley Clark factory.
The Leader of the House of Commons, Andrew Lansley responded to Mr Vickers' request by stating the Government is making sure they give support through regional growth funds and local enterprise partnerships.
Almost 380 workers have been told they are to lose their jobs at a factory which manufactures nappies at Barton on Humber. Staff arrived at Kimberly Clark this morning and were given a letter outlining plans to close the plant down.
