– Michelle Hardwick who will play Vanessa WoodfieldAs a local girl and a fan of the show, Emmerdale is my dream job. After only 2 days I am starting to feel at home already and Vanessa is such a fun character I can't wait to see what's in store for her.
The self-assured party girl will be like a breath of fresh air when she arrives at the Vet's practice. Vanessa is plain-speaking, always up for a laugh and instantly clashes with Rhona’s husband Paddy (Dominic Brunt).
The Vet’s surgery will see the arrival of Rhona's (Zoe Henry) wild friend from college Vanessa Woodfield played by actress Michelle Hardwick and is set to embody the notion of 'work hard, play hard'. Michelle is best known for her role in ITV drama The Royal.
Next to make his way into the Village is Bernice’s (Samantha Giles) lover, Steve Harland played by Tom Mannion who has TV credits in Spooks and Inside Men.
Played by Wil Johnson who is best known for his role as DCI Spencer Jordan in BBC drama Waking the Dead, mechanic Dominic Andrews arrives as a single dad finding his feet whilst doing his best to protect his wayward teenage daughter played by 14-year-old Tendai Rinomhota.
