Workers at a Tesco distribution centre in Doncaster have gone on strike again today in a row over jobs. A group are also holding a protest in Westminster. More than 180 drivers face being made redundant after haulage giant Eddie Stobart took over the centre in the summer.

Today, Unite members walked out at the start of three days of strikes, which could cause disruption to Tesco deliveries across the region.

3 day walk-out begins

Drivers who face losing their jobs by Christmas, because of a contract buy-out by haulier firm Eddie Stobart, begin their three-day strike today.

The staff were previously employed by Tesco, and still carry out the same work, but since the takeover they've been handed notice of termination of employment.

Some workers are taking their protest to the Tesco Express store near the House of Parliament. About 30 drivers will be protesting outside Tesco in Westminster, in the hope of getting noticed by MPs.
