Thousands of runners in Leeds have competed in the Abbey Dash. The 10k race route took them out of the city centre to Kirkstall Abbey and back.

Organisers of this year's Abbey Dash are congratulating the thousands of runners who have completed the race. The 10k route through Leeds takes competitors out of the city centre and back via Kirkstall Abbey. 9000 people registered for the event.

Thousands of runners are taking part in the Abbey Dash in Leeds. The 10k race is raising money for the charity Age UK. A record 9000 people registered for the event and organisers say more than ever before have crossed the finishing line.
