There are allegations of collusion by South Yorkshire Police over witness statements relating to the so-called Battle of Orgreave during the miners' strike.
The force has been accused of falsifying official accounts from officers about what happened on the day - when fighting broke out between miners and police.
Now, a new campaign has been set up to demand a public inquiry into how the force handled the incident. Michael Billington reports.
A campaigning group, The Orgreave Truth and Justice Campaign, has been set up and they are demanding a public inquiry into the actions of the police at Orgreave Colliery during the miners strike in 1984.
South Yorkshire Police has already referred itself to the Police Complaints Commission over its involvement.
