Many Lord of the Rings enthusiasts simply collect memorabilia. But artist John Cockshaw, from Ripon, is creating a whole new collection of artwork inspired by the trilogy.

Using advanced computer technology, he's used unusual items from around the region, transforming them into landmarks from the books. In one piece, a discarded piece of metal he photographed on a beach is transformed into Saraman's Two Towers.
