The icy grip of the wintry weather seems to be abating but the cold snap is still causing problems for those in isolated areas, and the dedicated workers manning A&E departments around the region.
As many tried to get back to normal, with school closures significantly down on yesterday and only minimal transport delays, some hospitals were seeing an increase of patients suffering from the effects of slips, trips and falls.
David Hirst has been to one hospital in Keighley, and also met members of the Red Cross - on standby to help those in need.
Airports and many schools have re-opened today but the snow is still making it difficult under foot. Commuters were setting off earlier than usual this morning to give themselves extra time to get to work. Meanwhile for others, it's another excuse to stay at home as Charlie Garforth reports.
A group of friends who built an igloo on the Stray in Harrogate have put it up for sale to raise money for charity. They describe it as " beautifully presented and smartly appointed" and have managed to attract bids of over £100.All of the proceeds will go to Yorkshire Cancer Research.
