A father has accused a primary school of religious discrimination after his son had a Christian wrist band confiscated by teachers.
Peter Thompson says a teacher removed the rubber band which features the fish Christian symbol. He's now kept his son off school - and he's demanding an apology. Jon Hill reports.
A father has accused a primary school in South Yorkshire of discriminating against Christians after teachers confiscated his son's religious wrist band.
Peter Thompson, says his 6-year-old son Eddie has been wearing the band on his ankle, under his sock for about six months. He has now kept Eddie at home for a week and is demanding an apology from the school.
At Tickhill Estfeld School the safety and well-being of all pupils is taken extremely seriously and the school has a clear uniform policy in place to help families understand what pupils can and cannot wear while at school.
