An ice cream seller from West Yorkshire has received a suspended sentence after he confronted a rival with a crowbar.
The rivalry between the two ice cream sellers, Mr Yummy - ice cream seller Zeheer Raman from Halifax and Mr Whippy - landed them in court after the confrontation erupted in violence. Lisa Adlam reports.
Zeheer Ramzan, from Halifax and operated under the name of Mr Yummy, was filmed in a street in Blackburn confronting his Mr Whippy rival with a crowbar.
Handing out a 6 month suspended sentence and ordering him to do 250 hours of unpaid work Judge Leemin QC told Zaheer Ramzan he'd acted in a way which was disgraceful and unacceptable and said that he's escaped an immediate prison sentence by the skin of his teeth.
