Flooding in the region
There are flood warnings and alerts in place across our region. It's as Thirsk and Malton MP, Anne McIntosh says the government has been too slow' in bringing in measures to protect homes and businesses from the "shattering" impact of flooding.
Flood row in Hull
There is a row on a housing estate in Hull where residents are angry at plans for a new water pumping station.
Yorkshire Water wants to build a larger facility for dealing with surface water to stop a repeat of the 2007 floods, but people living nearby say they don't want it in their street and they've suggested an alternative location.

There are eight flood warnings in place across the region. Many of those are along the River Ouse around York. The River Hull is also affected.
