Mother pays tribute to Jamie Inglis

The mother of Jamie Inglis has paid tribute to him in verse at his funeral. Vicky Inglis told hundreds of mourners at York Minster, "You faced your pain with courage until the very end. You tried your best to stay with us but your fight was not in vain."

Seven year old Jamie fought a long battle against cancer and helped raise thousands of pounds for treatment.

Hundreds of people are at York Minster for the funeral of Jamie Inglis. They're taking part in a "celebration" of the life of seven-year-old Jamie.

Jamie lost his battle for life after twice beating cancer. The youngster had helped raise thousands of pounds for his treatment .

Hundreds of people are expected to join in a "celebration" of the life of seven year old Jamie Inglis. People who have been moved by brave Jamie's fight for life are welcome to attend the service at York Minster, his parents have said.

Little Jamie lost his battle after twice beating cancer. He died after suffering an infection while having treatment for neuroblastoma. The youngster had helped raise thousands of pounds for his treatment - he touched the hearts of so many.

He was an extraordinary little boy who touched the hearts of so many. Amazingly seven year old Jamie Inglis beat cancer twice and helped raise thousands of pounds towards his own treatment, before losing his fight for life three weeks ago.

His family are devastated by his loss but are planning a huge celebration of his life at his funeral at York Minster. They want as many people as possible who've marvelled at his courage to go along and join them.
