Police investigating the death of a three-year-old girl say it could been some time before tests to establish the cause of her death are completed.
Lylah Aaron was taken to hospital after an ambulance was called to an address in Beck Road, Shiregreen, Sheffield, on Friday evening.
Lylah was taken to the city's Children's Hospital but died early on Saturday morning, despite the efforts of doctors.
South Yorkshire Police said a post mortem examination had been carried out but further tests are being undertaken. It is expected to be some weeks before the results are known.
Yesterday, 30-year-old Delroy Catwell, of Beck Road, Shiregreen, appeared at Sheffield Magistrates Court charged with Lylah's murder. He was remanded in custody and is due to appear again at Sheffield Crown Court on February 18.
