More than 500 people have turned out to view plans for a major upgrade of the A1 through North Yorkshire. The Highways Agency plans to convert the dual carriageway between Leeming and Barton to a three lane motorway. James Webster reports.
Plans to improve journey times and increase safety on the A1 between Leeming and Barton, North Yorkshire, by upgrading the dual carriageway to a three-lane motorway are on show for a second day.
A public information exhibition will be held at the Bridge House Hotel in Catterick, North Yorkshire until 4pm. People will be able to view the plans for the new motorway, and for local access road provision between Leeming and Barton.
