A tribute is being paid to Hull-born actor Sir Tom Courtenay at the 19th Bradford International Film Festival. He is being given the Lifetime Achievement Award in the 50th anniversary year of Billy Liar, which was filmed in and around Bradford.
The nineteenth annual Bradford Film Festival is launched later today. Last year there were twenty-seven film premieres, Barbara Windsor was given a lifetime achievement award and Ray Winston was a special guest.
