£20 million grant for renewable energy plant in Hull
Hull is a step closer to becoming a centre for renewable energy with the announcement of a multi-million pound grant.
£20 million from the European Regional Development Fund will go towards building a renewable energy power plant on Cleveland street. The Energy Works project, by city based company, ''Spencer Group'' will use a combination of green and clean technologies to power 25,000 homes.
It will also cut waste going to landfill by 90% and create 250 jobs for the area.
Multi-million pound investment to be announced for Hull
The local Government Minister is visiting Hull today to announce a multi-million pound investment for a renewable energy factory in Hull.
