A teenager has been stabbed to death in Scarborough. Police say it happened near to the Olympia amusement arcades last night. Nine people have been arrested.

Family "devastated" by Scarborough murder victim's death

The family of a teenager murdered in Scarborough have said they are "devastated".

They said: “We are absolutely devastated by what has happened to Mickey and we’re struggling to come to terms with the fact that he has gone.

“We hope those responsible for his death are brought to justice.”

The police have made nine arrests in connection with Michael's death.

Detectives have arrested seven more people in connection with the murder of a 19-year-old man in Scarborough. Michael Vincent Graham died on Saturday near the Olympia amusement arcades on Foreshore Road. A 17-year-old was also injured. He is in a stable condition in hospital.

Two teenagers were arrested on Sunday morning and are still being questioned by detectives. A further four men and three women, all in their teens, have also been arrested.

The seafront at Scarborough's South Beach has been sealed off while police investigate a fatal stabbing. A 19-year-old man died at the scene after an attack last night. A 17-year-old boy is being treated for stab wounds to his leg.
