Bridlington town crier step closer to world record

Bridlington's first town crier in over one-hundred-years could be about to enter the record books as the loudest one in the world.

David Hinde made the attempt in front of his home crowd at Sowerby Hall. After limbering up his vocal chords, the bass baritone singer reached a massive 114.8 decibels, just short of the record for the World's loudest shout.

The entry will now be sent off to see if he can go into the Guinness World Records as the loudest town crier on the planet.
