Three people have died after the car they were in crashed into a hairdressers salon in Thornton, Bradford.

Police name two of the three Bradford crash victims

27-year-old Jonathan Adam Ruthven from Denholme, Keighley, has been named as the driver of the black Mitsubishi Evo. The rear seat passenger was Jade Best, who was 19. She also came from Denholme. Both were killed when the car crashed into a hairdresser's shop in Thornton village.

The third victim hasn't yet been identified. Police have appealed for any witnesses to the accident or who saw the black Mitsubishi driving along Thornton Road or in the nearby area before the accident to call West Yorkshire Police's Major Collision Enquiry Team via: 101.



Three die in car crash

Three people have died after a car crash in Bradford.

It happened on Thornton Road in the city last night.

It is believed to have occurred just after 11pm as a black coloured Mitsubishi Evo vehicle, which was travelling towards Bradford, left the road close to the junction with Kipling Lane and collided with a nearby stone building.

Two men and a woman in the car were pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver was a 27-year-old man from Denholme, Keighley; the front seat passenger was a 32-year-old man from Thornton, Bradford; and the rear seat passenger was a 19-year-old woman from Denholme, Keighley.
