Detectives are trying to piece together the events which led to the death of pensioner Victor Hepworth.

The 79 year old collapsed near his home in Harehills in Leeds on Sunday evening. He later died in hospital.

They are looking at the possibility that Mr. Hepworth collapsed following a row about children playing football in the street.

A 10 year old boy was arrested and questioned by police, but was later bailed.

A 10-year-old boy arrested in connection with the death of an elderly man in Harehills yesterday has been released on bail pending further enquiries.

A post mortem examination on the 79-year-old man who died following the incident in Back Hill Top Avenue has confirmed that his head injury was not the cause of death. Further medical examination is ongoing.

Neighbours 'shocked' over pensioner's death

Neighbours have been speaking of their shock at the death of a seventy-nine-year-old man from Harehills in Leeds. He was taken to hospital with head injuries and died last night.

A ten year old boy has been arrested in connection with his death. Police have sealed off an alleyway at Back Hill Top Avenue as they continue their inquiries.
