Police have named a 28 year old woman who was stabbed to death in Doncaster as Gabrielle Stanley. She died in hospital after being discovered at a house on Stanley Road in Scawsby on Friday night.

The father of Gabrielle has issued this family statement: "As a family we are completely devastated by the tragic loss of our daughter Gabrielle, we would like to say thank you for the support we have received from friends and family."

The body of a 36-year-old man, named as Simon Hall, was also found at the address.

Post mortem examinations to take place on bodies

A post mortem examination was due to take place today on the bodies of two people - following a disturbance at a house in Doncaster.

Officers were called to Stanley Road in Scaswby late on Friday night where they found a 28-year-old woman with stab injuries. She was taken to hospital but later died.

The body of a 36-year-old man was also found at the house. Police say they're not looking for anyone else in connection with the deaths.

Officers were called to reports of a disturbance on Stanley Road, Scawsby, Doncaster on Friday night.

The woman was found with stab injuries and taken to Doncaster Royal Infirmary where she later died.

The body of a 36 year-old man was also found at the address.

Detectives are currently not looking for anyone further in connection with these deaths.
