New mums are to be offered up to £200 in shopping vouchers to encourage them to breastfeed their babies as part of a pilot scheme in Sheffield and Chesterfield.
They have been chosen because they have low breastfeeding rates. To qualify for the vouchers the mothers will have to breastfeed until six months.

The pilot scheme is being targeted at deprived areas of South Yorkshire and Derbyshire and is to be funded by the government and the medical research sector.
Professor Mary Renfrew, from Dundee University, is behind the scheme, which if successful, could be rolled out nationwide.
