A 25-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter following the death of a rugby player at a Halifax nightclub. He handed himself into Huddersfield police station with his solicitor this morning.
Detective Chief Inspector Nick Wallen say the man who "threw the punch" that killed a 38-year-old man in a Halifax nightclub needs to come forward - and that he may not have realised at the time just how serious the situation was.
Detectives are still at the Liquid nightclub in Commercial Street, Halifax, where a 38-year-old man died in the early hours today. Police say he was involved in an altercation inside the club and was pronounced dead at the scene after being felled by a punch.
