legendary cricket umpire Dickie Bird has been appointed the new president of Yorkshire County Cricket Club.
Dickie, who last year turned 80, takes over the role from Geoffrey Boycott. He says it is the greatest honour of his life:

Dickie, who's now 80, played for Yorkshire and Leicestershire before becoming the best known umpire in the game.
He succeeds Geoff Boycott, who's been the county's President since 2012.
