A man has been jailed for the barbaric murder of a teenage girl in Sheffield. 18 year old Reema Ramzan was attacked with a knife by her boyfriend - and beheaded.
Today, 21 year-old Aras Hussein was found guilty of her murder - and jailed for at least 20 years. The judge at Sheffield Crown Court described it as a chilling, and brutal attack:
A Sheffield man has been jailed for a minimum of 20 years for beheading his girlfriend.
21-year-old Aras Hussein decapitated 18-year-old student, Reema Ramzan, at his flat in Sheffield in June last year before stabbing himself in the chest.
Reema's family said in a statement: “We are devastated by what has happened, Reema was such a special person in our lives’ and the hole that has now been left in our hearts’ will never be filled.”
Aras Hussein was found guilty of murder by a jury at Sheffield Crown Court this morning.
