North Ferriby United will retain their status as English football's highest ranked village regardless of the outcome of Saturday's game against Guiseley.

That will not be enough for the Villagers though, as they push for promotion to the Football Conference.

A strong season took them to the Northern Conference play offs, but a 2-0 first leg defeat away to Yorkshire rivals Guiseley leaves them with work to do if they are to maintain their promotion push.

The return leg at North Ferriby kicks off at 3 o'clock on Saturday and manager Billy Heath will be hoping for a positive performance.

A United win would set up a final against Altrincham or Hednesford Town who drew 2-2 in their first leg game.
