London Bridge attack: Police make 20th arrest

Police have arrested a 20th person in connection with the London Bridge attack.

A 28-year-old man was held on suspicion of terror offences following a raid in east London, Scotland Yard said.

Officers entered a residential address in Barking shortly after 2am on Saturday. It comes hours after police arrested a 27-year-old man in Ilford.

Seven people are now being held in custody in connection with the atrocity that left eight dead and dozens injured.

Yorkshire soldier revealed as London Bridge hero

An off-duty Yorkshire soldier has revealed how he used battlefield training to save victims of Saturday's terrorist attack in London. Lieutenant Jared Bambridge, of the1st Battalion, the Yorkshire Regiment, ran towards danger to tend to stab victims, saving a 51-year-old man with two knife wounds. In fact, he helped 10 of the wounded over more than two hours, as Jon Hill reports.

Terror attack: 18 victims in critical condition

Eighteen victims of the London Bridge terror attack are now in a critical condition, figures shows.

NHS England said the number of those receiving critical care across London hospitals was down by three from 21.

A total of 36 patients remain in hospital following Saturday's attack which killed seven and injured 48.

Increase in police presence after London attack

West Yorkshire Police has increased its presence across the region in the light of the London terror attack.

The force says high visibility patrols will be seen at key locations and events. Extra armed officers were deployed after the Manchester suicide bombing.

The North Yorkshire force will also have additional officers out and about.

In South Yorkshire the Police and Crime Commissioner says all community events and places where people gather in numbers are being assessed - and armed and unarmed officers deployed.
