UPDATE: Residents speak of Goole crash

People living in the sparsely populated area said the crash appears to have happened where the A614 crosses the Aire and Calder Navigation canal and Dutch River, which run parallel to each other across the flat farmland.

The double bridge is about a mile south of East Cowick on the road to Thorne. One woman said police had been keeping locals well away but she believed two cars were involved in the crash.
