The search for a missing walker who hasn't been seen for almost 36 hours, has been called off for the night as concerns mount for his welfare. Helicopters, police, coastguards and search teams have been scouring the coast at Robin Hood's Bay for Alan McLean.
Police are appealing for help to find a missing man. Alan McLean, who is 61-years-old, has not been seen since 11.15am on Sunday morning, when he left the bed and breakfast he had been staying at in Robin Hood's Bay.
He is described as white, 5ft 4ins with a slim build and grey hair. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a blue Berghaus walking jacket and walking boots. Police say his disappearance is out of character.
