A former RAF police dog handler from Lincoln, who suffers from heart failure, has won an appeal to have his benefits reinstated, after wrongly being declared fit to work.

Hundreds of people are expected for celebrations in Hull to welcome home Hull Olympic gold medallist Luke Campbell and finalist hammer thrower Alex Smith in Queen Victoria Square. The city will welcome back the athletes who will appear on the Hull City Hall balcony from 6.30pm.
The pair will then attend an invitation dinner hosted by the Lord Mayor of Hull and Admiral of the Humber Councillor Danny Brown.
