Baby Catherine laid to rest

A funeral has been held for a baby girl, who was found dead a year ago at a recycling plant in Bradford. Prayers were said for the child by a local mother and baby group, and by staff from Associated Waste Management, who found the infant's body in May last year.

The child's mother was never traced but the baby, thought to be days old, was named Catherine, after The Duchess of Cambridge. A charitable trust will be set up in her memory. **Baby Catherine's Gift will raise money to provide services for mothers and pregnant women who have nowhere else to turn.
