A bus driver has been taken to hospital after an alleged random attack in Sheffield.
Police cordoned off an area of Redmires Road following the alleged assault, in which a powder, believed to be flour, was thrown over the driver. Forensic examinations have also been carried out.
The driver is not though to have suffered serious injuries.
A 15 year old girl has been attacked by a man in Castleford as she was walking home from school.
She was attacked on 5 July when she was followed along Wilson Street, Saville Road and Moss Street before the man dragged her into a ginnel just off Pottery Street. It is believed he was disturbed by passers by and ran off.
Detectives would like to speak to anyone with information.
A Keighley teacher who was in a coma after being attacked in Thailand is said to be showing signs of recovery having overcome pneumonia and a fever.
Adam Pickles is now breathing on his own and is continuing to recover from the attack which left him needing brain surgery. It is more than three weeks since the 40-year-old father-of-one was hit with a metal bar.

A 47 year old woman has today been sentenced to an indefinite hospital order for her attack on an 84 year old woman in Leyburn in North Yorkshire.
Ellen Margaret Louise Pounder, from Carperby, near Leyburn, pleaded guilty to charges of robbery and assault.
Teesside Crown Court granted the hospital order under Section 37 of the Mental Health Act 1983.
Pounder attacked her victim in public toilets near the market place in November last year. The victim, who is from the local area, was hit on her head six times before her handbag was taken.
Detective Inspector Andrea Kell who led the investigation said: “I am satisfied that justice has now been done for the victim of this distressing and shocking attack. The incident has left the victim with nightmares and sleepless nights."
"She was previously an active and independent lady, but is now unable to leave her home by herself. We hope that today’s outcome gives the victim some confidence to rebuild her life in the knowledge that Pounder is now facing up to the consequences of her actions.”
A woman has been sent to prison for a series of violent attacks.
30 year old Alison Salter from Bridlington has been sentenced to ten years behind bars after pleading guilty to two charges of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
She attacked a 24 year old friend in York and Selby in January 2011. She attacked her with a glass and bread knife as well as biting her.
The assaults were committed by someone who the victim trusted. At the time of the offences the victim’s son, then aged 7, was present and actually witnessed the second assault taking place.These were vicious and nasty attacks, which have left the victim with significant, permanent scars on her face, head and arm.

A 21 year old woman has been attacked in Beverley. She was walking alone in the early hours of Monday morning after being out drinking when she was approached by an unknown man. They walked together for a little bit, but she told him she was alright to walk alone, but he continued to follow her.
As she reached Pizza Fez she told him again she was ok, but it is alleged he leaned towards her, giving her the impression he wanted to kiss her.
When she moved away he pulled her head towards his before she managed to get away. She spilled everything in her handbag on the floor and as she picked everything up the man walked away.
