A Slovakian man who raped and violently attacked a woman in Leeds is due in court today to be sentenced.
Zdenko Turtak , had pleaded guilty to causing grievous bodily harm with intent and rape, but denied attempted murder.
The 21-year-old was extradited from Slovakia to Britain by West Yorkshire Police. He fled the country after assaulting an 18-year-old woman at a bus stop in Beeston in March.

Detective Superintendent Nick Wallen, from West Yorkshire Police says that the man who was arrested from the Kosice area of Slovakia on the 4 June is expected to be charged and appear before magistrates.
Police are appealing for witnesses after a pedestrian was seriously injured in a collision in Beeston earlier today.
At 8.35am, a silver Nissan Almera travelling along Beeston Road in the direction of Old Lane has been in collision with a 29-year-old female pedestrian.
The injured woman was taken to Leeds General Infirmary where she is being treated for a serious head injury.

43-year-old Humaira Naseer was last seen at Disraeli Terrace in Beeston on Tuesday 25th March at around 11am.
Officers are concerned for her welfare.
Humaira is described as Asian, 5’2” to 5’3” tall of medium build and with shoulder length straight hair. She wears reading glasses on occasion and has brown eyes. When last seen she was wearing orange trousers, a v neck t shirt, knee length green fabric jacket with hood, black shoes with small heel.
A 41-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of abduction. He remains in police custody.
A shopkeeper in Leeds is recovering after being punched in the face and head by men who attempted to rob his off-licence last Monday.
Police have now released CCTV images of three men they want to trace in connection with the incident.
Two of the men went into Beeston Wine Stores and pretended to buy items before attacking the 35-year-old shopkeeper.
He managed to run to the door and shout for help while the third man, who had been waiting outside, tried to get him back into the shop.
One of the men in the shop got behind the counter but could not open the till. All three men then ran off towards the Noster's area.

Fire crews are continuing to tackle a large blaze at a recycling centre in Leeds.
It broke out at HW Martin Waste Plant in Beeston at around 1:30am. At its height, 80 fire fighters worked to extinguish the processed plastic and paper that were alight. No-one was hurt. An investigation into how the fire started has now begun.
