The trial of a man from Brierley Hill, who's been accused of killing his girlfriend on the Greek island of Crete, will begin today. Luke Walker has been charged with murdering Chelsea Hyndman, from Castleford in Yorkshire.
The pair lived and worked on the island. Miss Hyndman died from abdominal injuries three years ago. Mr Walker denies murder and says she died after a fall during a night out with friends in the resort of Malia.
After her death, Mr Walker was jailed on remand for five months and kept in Greece until October last year, when his trial was unexpectedly adjourned. He was then allowed to return home to the Midlands. The hearing is expected to last at least four days.
The mother of a young woman who died in mysterious circumstances in Greece says she's determined to find out the truth about how she died.
Heather Hyndman from Castleford has just returned from Crete where her daughter's boyfriend was due to stand trial for her murder, but the case has now been put back by up to a year.
A woman who died on holiday in Crete has been sent a court summons to attend the trial of her alleged killer. 20-year-old Chelsea Hyndman was admitted to hospital with ruptured internal organs. Her boyfriend Luke Walker will appear in court next month charged over her death.
