A charge against a man accused of murdering Bradford pensioner Clement Desmier has been dropped. A 63-year-old man who had been charged over Mr Desmier's death last August, has been released.

Breaking: Man charged over pensioner murder
A man has been charged with murder over the death of a Bradford man who was found stabbed at his home.
Clement Desmier's body was found at his home in Rowlestone Rise, Ravenscliffe, on Thursday August 23.
A 63 year old man arrested on Saturday is to appear before Bradford Magistrates later this morning accused of Mr Desmier's murder.

Five arrested over Clement Desmier murder
Five men have been arrested over the weekend on suspicion of the murder of 68 year old Clement Desmier. He was found at his home in Rowlestone Rise, Ravenscliffe, on Thursday August 23. Mr Desmier, a former musician who was known as Butch, had been stabbed more than 40 times.
A 63 year old man was arrested on Saturday and two 19 year old men, a 22 year old man and a 52 year old man were arrested on Sunday. All currently remain in custody and are being questioned by detectives.
Man released in Desmier murder enquiry
Detectives investigating the murder of Clement Desmier in Bradford have released a 19-year-old man without charge. Mr Desmier was found dead at his home in Rowlestone Rise, Ravenscliffe on August 23rd. Officers continue to appeal for anyone with any information to contact them.
More time for Clement Desmier suspect
Detectives investigating the murder of a grandfather in Bradford have been given more time to question a man over the death.
A 19-year-old man was arrested in the city at the weekend. Clement "Butch" Desmier, aged 68, was found at his home in Rowlestone Rise four months ago with 70 separate injuries, including 40 stab wounds. His home had also been ransacked.

Police issue posters in murder hunt
Over 10,000 posters are being distributed to homes in Ravenscliffe and surrounding neighbourhoods as part of the latest enquires into the death of Clement Desmier.
They call on local people to come forward with information about the 68-year-old's lifestyle and movements prior to his body being found on 23 August 2012.
– Detective Superintendent Mark RidleyWe are beginning to build up a clearer picture of Mr Desmier’s last movements, however; we still need vital details that will help us to develop our investigations further.It is imperative that we hear from any witnesses or anyone with information who could assist in our enquiry further."
Clement Desmier murder investigation
Detectives investigating the death of 68 year old Clement Desmier, from Bradford, have released further details of the last time he was seen alive.
It has emerged that Mr Desmier entered his home on Rowlestone Rise in Ravenscliffe with another man at around 4:20pm on 22 August.
Officers are trying to establish the identity of this man and continue to work at the scene as part of forensic examinations. Senior Investigating Officer, Detective Superintendent Mark Ridley said:
"We do not know who this man is and it imperative that we are able quickly speak to him as part of our enquiry. This is the last known sighting of Mr Desmier and the information this individual may hold could be key to our investigations.
"Even the smallest detail can add to the jigsaw and help us develop a picture of the circumstances leading to Mr Desmier’s death. We are therefore calling on the public to help us locate this man. He is described as white, in his late 20s, of slim build and with mousey brown collar length hair.
"He was wearing a light grey or beige bomber jacket and a blue baseball cap. It is now two weeks since his death and this is a new line of enquiry which could potentially take us closer to the answers."
Police are also "extremely keen" to trace the two men reported to have been acting suspiciously outside Mr Desmier’s home address during the early hours of the 23rd August. Anyone with information is asked to contact the non emergency number 101 or Crimestoppers in confidence on 0800 555 11.
