Showing off Roundhay

People living in the Roundhay area of Leeds are being encouraged to find out what the area has to offer.

A community event of music, dance, sport and food is being held on Soldiers' Field, opposite Roundhay School.

The event was held for the first time last year and the aim is to attract local residents to a fun-packed day to see and experience the activities available to the local community.

We initially intended it as a one off event to showcase all the organisations and activities available to people in Roundhay but so many of those who took part or came along on the day asked us to run it again this year that we decided to bow to popular demand.

Roundhay attracts a huge number of visitors each year because it is home to two of the biggest attractions in Leeds - Roundhay Park and Tropical World - but we also have a strong sense of our local community here.
