Teachers at Dunston Primary School in Chesterfield have walked out on a two day strike over pay, pensions, conditions of service and job losses.
Prior to striking the teachers at the school , who are members of the NASUWT, had been working to rule.
“The teachers at Dunston have engaged in action which is designed to be pupil, parent and public friendly," said Chris Keates , NASUWT General Secretary.
“They deeply regret that they have been forced by the employer to take strike action.
“Any disruption today is entirely the responsibility of the school management.
“The NASUWT offered to withdraw the strike action if the school was engaged in constructive dialogue and suspend its punitive action against the teachers, but they have failed to respond.”
